Three men sought by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office in an alleged assault on a Mack man have turned themselves into custody.

Joseph Windscheffel, Joseph Abraim Painter and Gary Ray Keifer turned themselves into authorities this afternoon.

An arrest affidavit released this afternoon says four men entered a house in Mack during a graduation party and began assaulting partygoers. Tyrell Hawks approached the men with a shotgun and asked them to leave. Two of the men began hitting Hawks and were able to get the shotgun from him. They hit Hawks with the shotgun and then began kicking him once on the ground.

Painter, Keifer, and Windschiffel are charged with various counts, including attempted murder, assault, trespassing and reckless endangerment. All suspects are in custody at the Mesa County Detention Facility. No bond has been set pending arraignment.

A fourth person alledged to have participated in the crime has not been identified at this time.
