The search is over to find an author to write about Grand Junction's history. The Grand Junction 125th Anniversary Book Committee chose Professor Laurena Mayne Davis to write a book to celebrate Grand Junction's 125 years of history.

The search started two months ago. The committee received seven applicants interested in the job. Professor Laurena Mayne Davis was chosen because of her experience. She teaches mass communications at Mesa State College and was a features reporter for the Daily Sentinel. The committee plans to release the book in April 2007.
