With more energy companies beginning to move into not only Colorado but surrounding states as well, nearly a dozen technical and community colleges gathered in Grand Junction to begin a new kind of partnership.
While many institutions, including Western Colorado Community College in Grand Junction, offer a variety of courses for future energy company employees, many curriculum's differ from one school to another.
In order to instill institutional similarities, Friday's gathering, spearheaded by Mesa State College President Tim Foster, hopes to form a consortium to begin a networking relationship that will have a two–fold benefit.
Schools from as far south as Farmington, NM and as far north as Rock Springs, WY came out for Friday's networking sessions.
