Baseball Fever In Grand Junction Rises With Start Of JUCO

Video will be available shortly.

The 49th annual Junior College World Series kicked off Saturday at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction with a full slate of games.
The Junior College World Series, also known as JUCO, is a week long tournament with 10 junior and community college baseball teams from around the country aiming for the crown.
The first baseball game kicked off Saturday morning at 9 a.m. to a full stadium, as people of all ages came to Suplizio Field to take in the national past time.
JUCO welcomes fans from not only the Grand Valley, but across the country as well.
"We're going to be here for the whole week, no matter what happens, we're going to see some good baseball no matter who's left," Joe Argeste, who made the trip to Grand Junction from Chesapeake, Virginia, because his son is playing in the tournament, said.
The 11 News sports team will have complete wrap-ups of all the action each during 11 News at 5:30 and 10:00 p.m.
