Second Family Meth Support Group Underway Soon

Two members of the Mesa County Meth Task Force and Concerned Citizens of Mesa County noted that the families of meth addicts are affected too. The second session of a support group formed to give them the help they need starts soon.

There are many programs available to treat meth addicts and get them back on track, but families also suffer from the violence associated with the drug and the stigma of having a relative in the legal system. The "Share and Care" program offers a coping mechanism for families and a way to show they are not alone.

The classes are free and open to any family affected by meth. The classes start June 14th at First Presbyterian Church and meet every Wednesday from 12 noon to 1PM.
