A new airline plans to offer low–fare non–stop flights from Grand Junction to Las Vegas by late July. With a genuine showgirl in tow Allegiant Air announced they plan to set up shop at Walker Field Airport.
The Las Vegas based airline describes themselves as a "low–cost carrier" that offers affordable flights and package deals to Sin City.
The company plans to offer flights twice a week. Each flight will leave Grand Junction at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Las Vegas at 12:30 p.m.
Allegiant flies MD–80 Series Jets that hold more than 100 passengers.
Airline Spokesperson Tyri Squyres says Allegiant plans to expand the number of flights per week as the need for more arises. If you book with Allegiant Air before June 24th you can expect to pay just $59.00 each way. The airline hopes a typical fare will never be more than $100.
