Unseasonably High Temperatures Blanket The Grand Valley

Video will be available shortly.

The National Weather Service is urging people to use some extra caution outside the next few days with warmer than normal temperatures expected in the Grand Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in the valley are about 15 degrees warmer than usual. Temperatures in Grand Junction are generally in the lower 80's at this time of year.

The current heat wave we are experiencing is caused by a strong high pressure system with warm air. The national weather service of Grand Junction is warning people who are outside to drink plenty of fluids, dress appropriately and use plenty of sunscreen.

The heat should let up a little bit Wednesday when a sub tropical pressure system moves into the area.
