Over forty bikers and runners came out to Palisade for the Palisade Mountain BIke Race and Trail Run. The race included a 7 mile run or a 9 to 27 mile bike race. The trail snaked around Horse Mountain just south of Palisade. Prizes were awarded to the top three finishers in three different classes, varying from beginner to expert. A party in Riverbend park with music, food, and a beer and soda garden followed the races. This is the second year of the Palisade Classic and organizers have every intention of continuing the tradition.
