2nd Amendment Rally
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Hundreds of Grand Valley residents are putting their guns away after a day of bearing arms, all to make a statement.
The 2nd Amendment rally took place at the old Mesa County Courthouse today; close to 700 residents gathered downtown, most of them bearing arms, to stand up for their beliefs about the 2nd Amendment.
Many were hoping to prove they will not back down with the new gun proposals.
"It's to let our politicians know hey there are a lot of people out here that are very concerned, and these are the people who vote, these are the people who's jobs are in these people's hands," said Dave Melewski, 2nd Amendment rally organizer.
Various community members spoke at the rally; among them, Mesa County Commissioner John Justman spoke, along with Colorado State Senator Steve King.
Another speaker also informed rally goers what is at stake with area road closures proposed by the BLM for hunters and campers.

by Szabla Location: Location on Feb 24, 2013 at 05:22 AMThat is ok, let the Democrats and RINOs infringe on the gun rights, we the people of Colorado will get a State Constitutional Amendment that gives us "No restrictions at all in carrying concealed or open and any size Magazines we want or type of Gun”. In addition, we will ban any action from so-called lawmakers from having a say on this from now on.
