A Clifton man will be sent to Denver for an immigration hearing after pleading guilty to falsely imprisoning and assaulting his common–law wife back in March. Marco Antonio Holguin–Sanchez was sentenced by Judge Deister to 10 months probation and a total of $200.00 in fines.
Holguin–Sanchez was accused of kidnapping and threatening his wife with a gun and forcing their two children to go with them to Rifle.
Holguin–Sanchez was heading to the Rifle area when he was pulled over and arrested by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office. Because Holguin–Sanchez insn't a U.S. citizen and his sentence doesn't include jail time he'll be sent to Denver for an immigration hearing.
