DENVER (AP) _ A Denver man has been arrested on charges of
binding the hands of a teenage girl sitting next to him on a
Southwest Airlines flight and trying to tie her sister's hands as
well.

Ezra Wallace was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the incident occurred on a San Diego-to-Denver flight on Aug. 1. It's not clear why so much time passed before the arrest. Authorities say neither girl knew the 29-year-old Wallace.

He's accused of grabbing a 16-year-old's hands, binding them with athletic tape and trying to do the same to her older teenage sister.

Authorities say a flight attendant spotted the alleged assault and moved the girls.

The Federal Public Defender's Office, which is expected to represent Wallace, said it could not comment.
