Republicans Hold Candidates Forum

With seven weeks to go before the primary election, candidates are kicking their campaigns into high gear. The republican candidates running for House District 54 and Mesa County Commissioner in District 2 were given the opportunity to speak before members of the Mesa County Republican Party. Each of the candidates were asked to answer two questions including why they chose to seek public office. In House District 54 the candidates are Steve King and Dan Wilkenson who was unable to attend Friday's luncheon and had friend Ed Stephens represent his views. Reford Theobold and Steve Acquafresca are vying for the county commissioner seat being vacated by Tillie Bishop. All are hoping to sway the party faithful as the election draws closer. The Colorado primary election is August 8th.
