UPDATE: Teacher, Dentist Killed in Saturday Shooting

Police say two people are dead after Saturday morning's shooting including the wife of a former president of Mesa State College.

Police say 60-year-old Floyce "Flo" Gallagher and 61-year-old Dr Terry Fine are dead. Flo Gallagher is the wife of former Mesa State President Mike Gallagher who headed Mesa State College from 1996 to 2002. Flo recently retired from School District 51, and had also worked at Mesa State College.

Police say the Gallaghers and the Fines were to take a trip together. When the Gallaghers arrived at the Fine's home in the 2600 block of Chestnut Drive, a man in his 20s approached them. The suspect shot Dr. Terry Fine, Linda Fine and Floyce Gallagher in the driveway.

A neighbor who heard the shots and tried to help the victims was also shot. He's since been released from the hospital.

Police say Michael Gallagher then drove the victims to the hospital.

The suspect was taken to St. Mary's hospital and is being treated for injuries from a self inflicted gun shot wound. Grand Junction Police say they do not believe he is from the area, but he may have ties to Lakewood. Lakewood Police are assisting with the investigation, but tell 11 News they don't know any information about who the suspect may be, other than the fact he may have a Lakewood address.

Who is Jane? Stefan Martin-Urban was nothing but a little cowardly bitch.

I haven't seen Terry for 30 years but was still saddened to hear the terrible news. My prayers go to his family.

My prayers for Jane and the boys. I was their nanny for a time when the boys were preteens. Terry was a compassionate, caring man.
