One man is dead Tuesday night after driving his brand new motorcycle head on into a car on Highway 141.

Authorities say 52-year-old Frederick Viera of Pennsylvania was heading northbound on 141 when he drifted into the other lane while coming around a descending corner. Colorado State Patrol says man's inexperience on the new motorcycle may have caused the accident.

Viera crashed head on into a Toyota sedan, he was thrown off of his bike and over the car. He was wearing a helmet. Viera later died from his injuries at St. Mary's Hospital. Speed, drugs or alcohol are not considered to be factors.
