Day Three Of Jury Deliberations

Video will be available shortly.

Jurors continue to deliberate the fate of a Wyoming man accused of rape in Mesa County. Jurors took the weekend off but reconvened at 8:00 a.m. this Monday morning marking the third day of deliberations.
Homeless Man Merle Eaton is accused of raping a hitch–hiker last July.
His jury trial lasted three days. Merle Eaton is charged with three counts of sexual assault, second degree kidnapping and third degree assault. The alleged victim says she was hitch–hiking home to Illinois when Eaton attacked her. Trained investigators were unable to find and subpoena her to court. But that didn't stop the District Attorney's office from perusing its case against Eaton. This is the first time the DA's office has prosecuted someone for sexual assault without a victim.
