A Clifton elementary school teacher is one of only two woman on the western slope to ever be crowned Miss Rodeo Colorado in more than 30 years.

Audra Dobbs won the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo Colorado 2009 in June at the Greeley Stampede.

Dobbs will travel all over Colorado and the surrounding states as a representative for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Dobbs was selected based on her horsemanship, appearance, personality, rodeo knowledge, speaking skills and much more.

Dobbs says being a positive role model is something she strives to do everyday. She told 11 News, "I always tell my kids to follow their dreams and so I'm following mine."

Dobbs is looking for sponsors to help her fulfill her honor. If you want to help her you can e-mail her at missrodeocolorado2009@gmail.com.
