The Denver Police Department was praised Monday, following their quick response to a deadly weekend shooting at a grocery store distribution center. Sunday's shooting at the Safeway distribution center left two people, including the shooter, dead and two others in critical condition.
Police say more than 150 people were inside the center when 22–year–old Michael Ford allegedly opened fire. Ford is believed to have started a number of small fires inside the complex as well. Police are interviewing Safeway employees and others trying to determine what led to the shootings. According to police, Ford had missed several days of work leading up to the shooting, but was still an active employee.
