A bomb threat Monday night at West Star Aviation turns out to be a hoax, however, the Grand Junction Police Department is not laughing.
Two threats came in Monday night shortly after 7:00 p.m. with police, fire and the Grand Junction Bomb Squad responding. West Star Aviation told 911 operators the male who called in the threats indicated the bomb was in one of the two West Star hangers. About 20 West Star employees were evacuated after the initial threat was made and while a two–hour search conducted by the bomb squad found no trace of any explosive devices, the police department is still looking for answers on not only why the threat was made, but who made it. Anyone with information on the bomb threats is asked to contact the Grand Junction Police Department.
