A facility aimed at providing a safe haven for homeless Grand Junction teens is using artwork to raise some much needed money. The Tree House Youth Shelter has been open for nearly two months, and is in the midst of its capitol campaign. The shelter needs to raise 250–thousand dollars to purchase their building. To do so they've kicked off their "Personalized Tile Campaign". For a price any personal photo or digital picture can be put onto a ceramic tile with a caption.
The finished tiles will then be displayed on the shelter's "Wall of Fame".
Photographer skip hudson also donated pictures which can be used.
Treehouse Executive Director terri Klements says a successful campaign would mean monumental savings for the shelter. If you're interesting in purchasing a tile call 257-1320.
