A suspected drunk driver going the wrong way on a main thoroughfare in Grand Junction causes two early morning crashes. Both accidents happened at around 2:30a.m. on North Avenue and 18th Street sending one person to jail and another to the hospital. According to the Grand Junction Police Department the first accident was caused by Salvador Lucreto. Lucreto was allegedly driving drunk west in the east bound lanes of North Avenue when he crashed his van head on into an SUV. The second accident happened when two girls driving by stopped to make sure everyone was OK and were rear–ended. A 19–year–old girl was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with minor injuries. However no one else was injured in either accident. Lucreto was arrested and faces charges of driving under the influence, driving without a license and driving on the wrong side of the road. He's booked at the Mesa County Jail on suspicion of an immigration violation
