Mesa County Coroner Performs Autopsy On Former Enron Executive

Video will be available shortly.

The Mesa County Coroner has performed an autopsy on the body Enron's former CEO Kenneth Lay, who passed away at his home in Aspen. During a press conference at Community Hospital today, Dr. Rob Kurtzman told reporters that Lay died of severe coronary disease. Authorities with the coroners office in Pitkin County asked for the autopsy to be conducted in Grand Junction because it's the location for the only forensic pathologists on the Western Slope. Lay's body has been released to his family for burial. The Mesa County coroners office is still waiting for a toxicology report, but Dr. Kurtzman says no foul play is suspected. The toxicology report will take two or three weeks to conduct.
