Commissioner Testifies At Meth Federal Sub-Committee Meeting

The government is looking to become more involved in methamphetamine enforcement and is holding a number of congressional hearings, one of which got the input from a Mesa County Commissioner.
Commissioner Janet Rowland spent Friday in Loveland, CO, giving testimony to the congressional sub-committee on drug policy.
Rowland described the meth situation in Mesa County and what the county's task force is doing to combat the problem.
The hearings have been on–going and is a direct result of the spread of the meth problem nationally.
Once the hearings conclude, the testimony will go back to Washington D.C. and evaluated to see what way the federal government can aid local municipalities.
