Just before 11:00 PM Saturday, the Grand Junction Police Department answered the call of a Hispanic family living in a gray van in the parking lot of Mesa Systems Company off of River Road. Authorities arrived on scene and found 14 undocumented people. Officers called in Immigration and Customs Enforcement but once I.C.E arrived, several subjects fled the scene. Agents with the immigration service rounded up the remaining undocumented workers who were believed to be from South America. Apparently the van had broken down leaving the occupants stranded.
