This past weekend the Grand Valley has been hit with triple digit temperatures. And Sunday, Grand Junction's temperature broke the record with a high temperature of 103 degrees.
Since summer is in full swing and Grand Junction is sizzling hot, its important to find some places to cool off. The mall was one popular destination, as well as the Lincoln Park – Moyer Pool.
As far as the weather goes, experts anticipate the heat will stay above normal for the rest of summer. But Grand Junction should get some relief by mid week here in the Grand Valley, temperatures should cool off into the 90's.
