Republican candidates for House District 54 square off in a debate hosted by the Redlands Rotary Club.
Steve King and Dan Wilkenson are vying for the house seat currently being held by Josh Penry.
Rotarians asked both candidates questions on everything from embryonic stem cell research to the immigration bills the governor recently signed.
Both candidates agreed on most things, but say it's their backgrounds that set them apart. King is an investigator with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Wilkenson is a pastor.
The two will face off in the Republican Primary on August 8.
That winner will face Democrat Rich Alward in the November election.
