It is perhaps an unusual coupling as the Mesa County Meth Task Force teams up with Lions Club International.
The Meth Task Force invited the group because of their prevention curriculum that is aimed at school aged children called Lions–Quest.
The curriculum is a research and evidence based program that the Lions Club put into action in 1984.
At Saturday's orientation, several community members, including school district representatives, attended the meeting.
