The city of Delta celebrates its rich heritage during the weekend long Deltarado Days. Among the many activities for visitors to see and do is an antique tractor pull.
It looks easy, but it actually takes skill to pull a large weight the furthest distance on the back of a tractor. Water is used as a weight, and it moves up on the trailer- which makes it harder for the tractor to pull.
All of the tractors are antiques, some of them date back as far as the 1930s. And for many, part of the fun, is working on the old tractors. Tractor pulling is not just a Colorado thing. It is a hobby that comes from the western frontier.
This was the third year the Deltarado Days had an antique tractor pull.
