Montrose Police have confirmed that an incident occurred at Montrose High School at 8:00 am this morning in which a student was seriously injured. That student has been taken to Montrose Memorial Hospital. Neither police or the school district will confirm whether the assailant was a student or not and how the injury was inflicted.

The school has been closed for the day and students are being sent home. Students that ride the bus home will be bussed home.
