Members of the Crossroads United Methodist Church got the opportunity of a lifetime to take a trip to poverty stricken Kenya.
Thursday night the group shared their experiences with other members of the church through a slide show presentation.
The team took a mission to the Eastern African nation last June as part of their outreach ministry program. The church said it is important to go outside of your immediate area to help people in need. While in Kenya, the group worked in a medical camp and worked at some schools; reaching out to orphans whose parents died of HIV. The group plans to go back to Kenya in two years.
