Colorado has a rich heritage of dinosaur fossils. Although they roamed here millions of years ago, the Museum of Western Colorado is celebrating them with Dinosaur Days.

The event kicked off with a 7k run in Fruita, followed by a pancake breakfast hosted by the Fruita Lions Club. Admission is also free into the dinosaur museum, where visitors can interactively learn about the ancient creatures.

The annual event has been held for the past 19 years to give people and kids alike the opportunity to learn about Colorado's rich heritage of dinosaurs.
