A man walking alone in an Orchard Mesa Park was robbed at knife point early Sunday morning. Shortly after midnight, the man went to St. Mary's Hospital seeking medical attention for knife wounds.
Officers were then called to take a report of an armed robbery in Duck Pond Park. The victim told police that he was walking through the park when he was confronted by a man who was holding a knife and asking for money.
The victim did not have any money on him, and when he refused, the alleged attacker jumped the victim cutting his arm with a two to three inch pocket knife.
The victim fought back and fled from the knife wielding man. He went to St. Mary's for medical treatment of the cut on his arm. The victim described his attacker as being a white male in his thirties, 150 to 200 pounds, around five foot ten inches, with a long dark beard. The assailant also had a white dirty t-shirt on with jeans the time of the attack.
