Flooding Causes Problems In Palisade

Video will be available shortly.

Flash flooding Tuesday afternoon caused a variety of problems in Palisade and in the midst of the cleanup, there was concern, bewilderment and some anger.
The amount of rainfall Tuesday afternoon quickly overflowed and eventually clogged a drainage pipe along the 3300 block of Front St. in Palisade.

The mud and water quickly spread across the street where CDOT crews worked with trucks reserved for snow removal to clear the road of the excess water and mud.

Residents have seen this before and during the clean-up neighbors said the Grand Junction Drainage District was working to fix the problem but some say not fast enough.
