An independent baseball league based in California takes another step in bringing professional baseball back to the Grand Valley.
With teams currently in California and Arizona, the Golden Baseball League is expanding, bringing a team to Utah next year and hoping to add Grand Junction to the list.
The process has been on–going, but the league's founder and chief operating officer are talking lease agreements for Suplizio Field with city officials, bringing the possibility of a team one step closer.
A final decision should be made in September.
