A 17 year old from Atlanta, Georgia is making headlines with his vegetable oil powered pickup truck.

It started as a school project for the teen, but turned into a two week road trip sponsored by Gray Television. Bill Bridgers is making pit stops at different television stations across the country including Colorado springs and Omaha, Nebraska. Bridgers, along with his dad and friend are driving a Ford Super Duty diesel truck fully operated by vegetable oil on the road tour.

Bridgers says the road trip has been great because he has never seen the west before, but also because its gives him an opportunity to set an example. Bridgers gets his vegetable oil free of charge from Asian restaurants. So far, the truck has been operating successfully on vegetable oil they got in Atlanta, Georgia.
