Video will be available shortly.

Higher electric bills and natural gas prices have some Grand Valley owner's going solar. Nearly a hundred people attended the home tour put on by High Noon Solar, a local company that designs, installs, and educates its customers on solar energy.

The company says the tours allow people to see how solar energy works in a practical sense. Three homes were featured on the tour each with different solar energy systems. All of them are environmentally friendly, and work to save the homeowner some money on energy bills. However the company admits there are upfront costs associated with going solar.

High Noon Solar has been hosting solar tours annually, but plans on making it a bi–annual event because of its growing popularity.
