Colorado State Patrol is looking for the man they say crashed into a Clifton home, then fled on foot.

Just before 8:00 Monday night, State Troopers were called out to Ridge Lane in Clifton after recieving reports that a van ran into a house and the people inside took off.

Witnesses tell 11 News the van drove down Hill Avenue and as it was turning onto Ridge Lane, it ran off the road, hit the back of a parked truck, then took out one side of an attached garage. They say the driver, a young male, another man and a young female got out of the van and ran.

A neighbor then took off after them and caught up to the driver. Eyewitnesses say that neighbor then tackled the driver and tried to hold him down. The driver was able get away during the skirmish, but not before the neighbor got a hold of his wallet.

State Troopers say they're now using information in the wallet to track the suspect down.

As of 11:00pm Tuesday, no arrests had been made.

There were people inside the home when the van crashed into it, but no one was hurt.
