Mesa County is developing an energy master plan and is asking for the public’s input.
The energy master plan will identify the known energy resources and opportunities within Mesa County, address potential impacts on the community, analyze current energy related policies and make a set of recommended policies and regulations. Mesa County spokeswoman Jessica Peterson says an important part of the process is getting public input, “tell us what it is they are seeing about energy development, what’s interesting to them, maybe what concerns them, if they think there are positive benefits.”
