The Horizon Drive interchange on I–70 is getting a new look, and no it's not another round–about. At a ground breaking ceremony Tuesday morning, officials with the City of Grand Junction and the Horizon Drive Business Improvement District (BID), announced plans to create an enhanced entryway into Grand Junction. Among other things the project will include block retaining walls that will create terraces for grass, shrubs and trees and four lighted monuments to alert motorists that this is an entryway to the city. The total cost of the project is $1.3 Million.
