Fruita residents got an opportunity Thursday night to ask political candidates questions in an open forum. The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce invited the public to meet the candidates running for state office. About two dozen Fruita residents attended the forum. Most of the questions asked by the audience were on education and the watershed ordinance, which was passed Wednesday night by the Grand Junction City Council.
Next Wednesday night, the county candidates will get an opportunity to speak in the open forum with Fruita residents.
