Grand Junction community developers want the public's input into how a certain section of the city should look, and the meeting is going on right now.
The city is developing a master plan for South downtown Grand Junction, an area that encompasses 4th Street to 28 Road from the railroad tracks to the Colorado River. The area, currently mostly vacant, could see a complete makeover including homes and commercial development, but how the area could look depends in large part on public input.
The South Downtown Area Master Plan community meeting is at Two Rivers Convention Center and goes until 7 this evening.
