It all starts here with an artist's vision sculpted in wax. Moonscapes 3D is commissioned world–wide by artists to make enlarged foam sculptures of their designs. The company's latest piece of work stands more than 16 feet tall.

David Moon and his partner Forrest Hoskins take the artist's design and melt it down into smaller pieces which are then scanned, enlarged and milled out on a large router.

It takes Moonscapes 3D about three weeks to complete a piece which saves the artist anywhere from five to six months if they were to do it on their own.

Moonscapes 3D has been around for three years and has completed more than 50 pieces from all over the world.
