Wineries aren't the only ones gearing up for the WineFest. According to the Grand Junction Visitors and Convention Bureau, all area hotels are either completely booked or have very limited space available.
There are about 28–hundred rooms for rent in the valley, but when the two new Marriots open this fall there'll be more than 3–thousand. A Bureau Spokesperson says WineFest might not be the valley's largest event but it does attract the most out of towners and that has a significant impact on our economy. Visitors take advantage of the restaurants, fill-up on gas and hit the shops. There are 66 wineries in Colorado.
