Officers from the Grand Junction Police Department, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and the Colorado State Patrol responded to Rum Bay, a nightclub in Fruitvale.
Just as the bar was closing Friday evening, an altercation started between two males outside of the nightclub. It is not known what started the fight. Bouncers from the nightclub were able to hold down one of the men involved in the fight, Kevin Finessy.
But Finnesy fled on foot when he was released from the bouncers hold. Moments later authorities were able to restrain him with a taser. Charges against Finnesy include resisting arrest and possession of narcotics. Multiple agencies responded to the scene because a code zero alert was alerted by one of the responding deputies. The other man involved in the fight was not charged.
