Some of the Western Slope's health care providers band together today to make health screenings fun and free for some Grand Valley families.
The 3rd annual Family Health Fiesta was held today at Grand Mesa Middle School. The event offers free health information and screenings to uninsured or under-insured families. Some of the health screenings conducted were for diabetes, blood pressure and bone density. There was also plenty of health information available to participants.
Participant, Barbra Kennedy says, "We got some great information and direction on how to take care of ourselves and our kids better. We were really impressed with the variety of providers here."
