President Of Iraq Flies Out Of Walker Field

Video will be available shortly.

Interstate 70, Horizon Drive and surrounding streets were shut down once again as Iraqi President Jalal Talibani heads back to Walker Field Airport to leave Colorado.

The motorcade passed through Grand Junction again Saturday now that a conference the President of Iraq was attending in Aspen has ended.

He initially landed at Walker Field last Thursday causing the same disruptions and road closures. According to the Aspen Daily News, the president discussed his war–torn nation's future with poised optimism at a private conference here for the rich, powerful and famous.

The motorcade escorted Talibani into town Saturday night. His plane took off around 5:15 p.m.
