ASPEN, Colo. (AP) -- Pitkin County authorities have arrested a third suspect in connection with the murder of an Aspen socialite.

The Aspen Daily News reports 56-year-old Katherine M. Carpenter was arrested Saturday in the death of 57-year-old Nancy Pfister. She is being held on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Pfister's body was found in an upstairs closet at her home Feb. 26.

On March 3, authorities arrested 65-year-old William F. Styler III and 62-year-old Nancy Christine Styler at a lodge in Basalt, where they were staying after apparently moving out of Pfister's home Feb. 22. They are expected to be formally charged Monday with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Pfister was the daughter of the late Betty and Art Pfister, longtime prominent Aspen residents who co-founded the Buttermilk ski area.
