Oil and Gas Rules One Step Closer to Vote

Lawmakers at the State Capitol are considering about 100 new rules governing the state's oil and gas industry.

The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission drafted the rules after meetings across the state to get recommendations from local residents.

The new rules will be reviewed by the legislature's committee on legal services and must be approved by lawmakers before they can take effect.
