Denver (AP) - Rep. Jared Polis says Colorado is getting $42.6 million in federal stimulus money to help reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and to improve energy efficiency.
The money is from the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program.
Polis, a Colorado Democrat, said Thursday the State Energy Office is getting almost $9.6 million of the money.
Twenty cities and 10 counties are getting the rest.
