Western Slope Katrina Victims Have Place to Turn For Help

Video will be available shortly.

According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency more than 7–thousand victims of hurricane Katrina still live on the Western Slope, and most assistance to victims has been reduced or ended.

To help those who still need assistance with finding affordable housing, jobs and other aid, Catholic Charities of the Archdoicese of Denver has opened an office in Grand Junction.

The new office can help Katrina vicitms on the Western Slope with a wide variety of needs, including finding affordable housing health care, and dealing with state and federal agencies.

The office has been donated by Lutheran Family Services. For more information or to make an appointment for services, call 778–1928.
