GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- It was a record-setting weekend for DUI arrests across the state.
Law enforcement cited 421 people for driving under the influence, more than any Super Bowl weekend since the enforcement period started in 2009.
From Feb. 1 to 4, one alcohol-related death was reported, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
For the first time, 100 law enforcement agencies statewide took part in the crackdown, not just agencies in Denver, the Front Range and Mesa County. Of the 421 arrests, 138 were on Super Bowl Sunday itself.
The next DUI enforcement period will be over St. Patrick's Day weekend: March 15 to 18.
